Obituary for Bro. David Lanier Hardin
Bro. David Lanier Hardin, age 75 of Erin, TN, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Houston County High School with Bro. James Boren officiating.
The Hardin family will receive friends at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Bro. Dave entered this life on November 13, 1942, son to the late Price and Margaret Lanier Hardin. Bro Dave was the current minister at the Stewart Church of Christ, and formerly resided over multiple churches. Bro. Dave was Chief of the Houston County Fire Department, and was the Director of the Houston County Emergency Management Agency. Bro. Dave was committed to his community where he always put service before self.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Bruce Hardin; children, Tommy Hardin (Debbie), Ben Hardin (Sonya), Laurel Lee Crook; sister, June Roland; brothers, Joe Hardin (Beverly), and Don Hardin. Bro. Dave also leaves behind nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Darrin Hardin, Chris French, Jonathan Reeves, Blake Hardin, Cody Crook, Drew Crook, and Payden Crook. The Houston County Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
