Obituary for Joy Sue Robeson
Joy Sue Robeson, age 79 of Stewart, TN, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Centennial Medical Center.
A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Farris officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Orchard Cemetery.
The Robeson family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday afternoon.
Joy entered this life on November 28, 1938 in Dickson, TN, daughter to the late Clifford Gafford and Myrtle Schmutte Gafford
In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wesley Enloe Robeson Sr, and brother, James Gafford.
Survivors include 14 loving children, including sons; Frank Hall (Elfie), B.J. Gafford (Debbie), Ralph Hall (Angie), Bubba Gant (Kacey), Billy Gant, Wesley Robeson (Jessica), daughters; Kathy Harmon (Bill), Roberta Allen, Sherry Howell, Janey Cathey, Wanda Smith (Carl), Puddin Smith (Mike), O.J. Haley, Nikki Shultz (Brian); and brother, Dean Schmutte. Joy also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Grandsons of Mrs. Robeson will serve as pallbearers for the service.
Following the service,family would like to invite loved ones back to the home of Joy Robeson to share memories and celebrate her life.
