Obituary for Sue Blackwell
Helen Sue Blackwell, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 while at her home in Guthrie. Her loving family was at her side.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9. 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Brown officiating. She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery. Sue's family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Sue entered into this life on September 22, 1936 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late James Buford Williams and Josephine Pauline Kohen Williams. Sue was loved and raised by her late step-father Tim Hoover. She was the loving wife to the late William Donald Blackwell and a caring mother and homemaker to her family. She cared very deeply for her family.
Survivors include daughters, Donna Hollingsworth (Joe) and Diane Williams (Clifford); grandchildren, Douglas Conquest, Jr., Phillip Conquest, Marty Hollingsworth, Terrell Williams, and Tyler Williams; great grandchildren, Bailey Conquest, Bella Conquest, Presley Conquest, Gwyneth Conquest, William Conquest, and Annabelle Hollingsworth; and her sister, Elizabeth Lankford. Sue was also predeceased by her brother, Bobbie Williams.
Sue's grandsons and great grandson will serve as pallbearers.
