Obituary for Carney Remus Boone
Carney Remus Boone, resident of Clarksville, TN, passed away June 26, 2017 at Tennova Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Jeter officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Carney was born August 1, 1926 son of Richard Byrd Boone and Stella Smith and stepson of Addie Mae Brooks. Carney was a World War II Veteran and a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He retired from Ft. Campbell after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Carney leaves behind his wife of 74 years, Ruby Kimble Coleman Boone of Clarksville, son, Hershel Duwayne Boone (Laurie Parker) of Clarksville, 8 Grandkids, 17 Great Grandkids and 13 siblings; Claudell Boone Wootton (Alex), Edwin Calvin Boone (Carol), Jerry Carlile Boone (Doris) Lewis Eugene Boone (Carol), Emily Boone Conroy (John), Carolyn Boone Vasquez, Elaine Boone Franklin (Lenard), Gayle Boone Dawson (Thomas), Richard Anthony Boone (Debra), Michael Prentiss Boone, Sulynne Boone Denton (Donald), Pamela Boone Matthews (Mike), and Donna Boone Gilley.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Carney Randall Boone in 2013 and Reed Smith Boone in 1983, 4 siblings, William Alex Boone (Bonnie), Marjoree Boone Higgins, Jesse Daniel Boone (Myles), Robert Lester Boone (Beverly) and 1 Grandson, Christopher Shawn Boone.
