Obituary for Ruth Shelton Lynn
Ruth Shelton Lynn, age 88 of Erin, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Houston County Community Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Herndon officiating. Burial will follow in Richardson Cemetery.
The Lynn family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday afternoon.
Ruth entered this life on October 20, 1928 in Houston County, TN, daughter to the late Johnny and Susie Carson Richardson. Ruth was a faithful member of Lockhart United Methodist Church, and was a past president of the Business and Professional Women of Erin.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Richardson, and daughter by marriage, Barbara McCarty.
Survivors include her loving husband Ralph Lynn Sr.; son, Tommy Shelton; daughters, Suzzette (Garland) Wright, Georgene Shelton; chidren by marriage, Ralph Lynn Jr, Linda Brooks; sister-in-law, Ann Richardson; and nephew, Robert Brian Richardson.
Ruth also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, David Wright, Sarah Buttons; and four great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Richardson, Gene Hogan, Jeff Perigo, Ralph Lynn IV, Alex York, and Jerry Tomlinson.
