Obituary for James "Theo" Bishop
Mr. James Theo Bishop, age 89 of Erin, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at NHC Healthcare in Dickson, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Ernie Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
The Bishop family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday afternoon.
James entered this life on October 31, 1927 in Houston County, TN, son to the late William and Mary Lou Hankins Bishop. James was a faithful member of Griffins Chapel Church of the Nazarene, and was a proud WWII veteran in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son and daughter in law, Melvin Roy (Melanie), and brothers, Carlton and Ran Bishop.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred Bishop; sons, Mark Bishop (Kathy), James Bishop, Jeff Bishop, Larry Smith (Cathy), Paul Smith (Vicki); daughters, Lisa Meyer (John), Terry Lynn Wright (Michael), Sherrie Powling (Robert); daughter in law, Leslie; 15 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
