Condolences

Condolence From: Clifford Batezel
Condolence: My deepest Condolence to the family and friends of a man well resected in more ways than being in the Military for so long. Colonel Leddy was a man who was amazingly open about his personal life and was always
respectful to all he came in contact with without regard of their rank. He could be quite funny and insightful.
When he first ask me to work for him he said he would defend me to the hilt if I was right but expected me to accept my punishment If I was wrong. This was a great start to a great relationship.
later I met Mrs. Letty who was even more open than Col. Leddy. I got to meet the kids and even work for a while with Angela for a time.
I and many other Military People found Col. Leddy to be a good human being and one you could always have an open conversation with.
Over the years I would still call and say hello and see how life was treating him.
I must add that I miss sorely both Col. Leddy and Mrs. Leddy who was someone with a good thing to say in all situations. I loved them both. May they rest in peace.

Condolence From: Federico (Fred) V. Garza
Condolence: My Condolences to the Leddy family. I served with Col. Leddy at Bad Kreuznach Army Hospital. Cliff Batezel and I were good friends and I became friends with Col. Leddy and his family. I will never forget how he intervened and helped me when I was to be detained for over six months to participate in a court martial. John was inspecting general and spoke to Major Melvin Chambers and Major Chambers waived my participation and I was allowed to go home. I saw John and and his beautiful wife, Virginia in Baltimore at our first military reunion. The world has lost a great man and although we will miss him, he has earned his rest. May he rest in peace. Fred and Nina Garza
