Obituary for Ronald Maston Blakely
Ronald Maston Blakely, age 87 of Erin, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Signature Healthcare in Erin, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Denise Settle officiating. Burial will follow in Ben Brown Cemetery with full military honors.
The Blakely family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday. Following the visitation Friday night, a Masonic Service will held at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Blakely entered this life on January 13, 1928 in Glendale, CA, son to the late Ronald Blakely and Amelia Golden Blakely. Mr. Blakely proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp where he retired, was a World War II veteran, and served three duties in the Vietnam War. He was a member of John B. Garrett Lodge, and the Al Menah Shriners fraternal organization.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his late wife Mickey Blakely, son, Robert W. Blakely.
Survivors include daughter, Anna Davenport; son, Ronald (Gail) Blakely, daughter, Michelle (Tommy) Meadows; five grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
