Obituary for Carrol Lyle

Mr. Robert Carrol Lyle 87 passed away Friday February 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 2, 1927 in the Spring Hill Community of Houston County, Tn. Son of the late Robert Henry Lyle and Addie Lewis Lyle. He and his wife joined Springhill Church in 1945 and remained a devoted member and teacher until his death; he was also a member of Wisdom lodge # 300. He owned and operated Main Street Motors in the early 50s, He owned Carrol Lyle Construction and served on the Houston County School Board for several years He was the Houston County Hwy Superintendent for 13 years. A celebration of his life will be 2pm Sunday at Springhill Church with Rev. William Lyle, Rev. Joel Nulty, and Rev. Haley Robinson officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Saturday and from 8am until 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home and from 12 until service time Sunday at the Church. Burial will be at Lewis Cemetery. Survivors include his loving wife Marlyn Rye Lyle, two sons Fred Lyle (Terri), Scott Lyle, four grandsons Bronson and Tina McClerkin, Jarrod and Ginger, Tyler, Cameron, Lesley Lyle. Eight great grandchildren Savannah, Alexanda, Caeley, Colin, Grady, Camdyn, Carter, Charley.
