Joseph Scott Mills, age 41, of Clarksville, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2018 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The Mills family will receive friends Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m., and again on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
Scott entered into this life on May 15, 1977 in Clarksville, TN. He was a member of First Baptist Church Clarksville, was a graduate of Austin Peay State University, and was the weekly planner in the production control department at Hankook Tire. Scott was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Emily.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Eldon Bryant, and paternal grandparents, Marvin and Margaret Mills.
Survivors include his parents, Robert "Joe" Mills and Wanda (Louis) Bryant Burnett; daughter, Emily Mills; maternal grandmother, Thelma Bryant, and brother, Mike Mills.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jernigan, Jack Biggs, Jarrett Biggs, Dan Daigle, Bryan Sayle, and Amy Lowe. Hankook employees will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital of Chicago.
