Life Story for Garner Franklin Bailey

Garner Franklin Bailey, age 85 of Erin, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday January 4, 2019 at Tennessee Ridge Baptist with Bro. Dennis Kirk officiating.
Garner entered this life on February 21, 1933 in Erin, TN, son to the late Joseph Washington Bailey and Lela Felts Bailey. Garner proudly served a tour in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, where he received the Medal of Good Conduct and a Marksman Medal. He later retired from Southern Gauge. Garner was a faithful member of Tennessee Ridge Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Garner was preceded in death by his son Barney Bailey, and his brothers; Luther Bailey, Osteen Bailey, Edward Bailey, Raymond Bailey, Howard Bailey, J.R. Bailey and Lucian Bailey; as well as his sisters, Lily Mae Breeden and Perline Brooks. He also was preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Gene and great granddaughter Erica.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his loving wife of Sixty years, Mary Lee Bailey; his son, Chris Bailey (Paula Swinford); daughters, Terri Lea (Jeff) and Sandra Byant (Larry Mason); his dear brother Lester Bailey; and loving grandchildren, Michelle, Crystal, Sean, Rebecca, Victoria, Stephanie, Dereck, Brittany, and Dustin; as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 5:30-8:00 on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home. A memorial service will then be held at Tennessee Ridge Baptist Church on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
