Obituary for Ann Clark

Print
Ann Moore Martin Clark of Port Royal, TN went to be with her precious Lord and Savior on November 15, 2018 at the age of 77. She was born January 17, 1941 in Indian Mound, TN to the late Frank Martin and Destine Moore Martin. She attended George Peabody College in Nashville, TN and Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN before marrying the love of her life, Donald Russell Clark, in 1961. Besides being a wonderful wife and mother, Ann was an astute business woman, owning and operating the Briar and Bean, a longtime favorite among locals for coffee and cigar products, for 32 years. Ann loved her Lord above all else and was an active member of Living Hope Baptist Church where she blessed others with her beautiful singing voice and love for teaching children. Ann was also an avid gardener and loved spending time outdoors. Ann’s favorite activity, however, was spending time with her family. She was a perfect wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary Frank Williams of Waverly, TN and Rachel Brown of Uncasville, CT.
Ann is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald Russell Clark of Port Royal, TN; two sisters Martha (Rodger) Pile of Clarksville, TN and Betsy (Ron) Tumelson of Dover, TN; her three children Russ (Pam) Clark of Port Royal, TN, Sue Ann (Doug) Martin of Port Royal, TN, and Marty (Liz) Clark of Rock Spring, GA; her eight grandchildren Kimberly (Jerry) Gray of Adams, TN, Jonathan (Jessica) Clark of Port Royal, TN, Kristi (Stephen) Thompson of Clarksville, TN, James (Megan) Martin of Bowling Green, KY, Matthew Martin of Mt. Juliet, TN, Dalton Clark of Rock Spring, GA, Ben Clark of Port Royal, TN, and Abbey Clark of Rock Spring, GA; as well as five great-grandchildren Amy Gray, Jayden Gray, Britton Clark, Hattie Clark, and Annalee Thompson.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 1 to 7 pm at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, November 19, 2018 at 12 pm at Living Hope Baptist Church with visitation starting at 10 am until time of service. Rev. Derek Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Gray, Jonathan Clark, Stephen Thompson, James Martin, Matthew Martin, Dalton Clark, Ben Clark, Jayden Gray, and Britton Clark.
