Joe's kindness and generosity were showered on everyone lucky enough to meet him, and his contributions to Clarksville/ Montgomery County, are too numerous to list here. A Father to so many of us who looked to Joe as an example of the right way to live. Joe's passing has created within me a new vision of Heaven. If I make it to the pearly gates and knock on the door, I am now sure the door will be opened by a smiling "Joe B. Downey, from Montgomery County"!
