Gertraude T. Oakes, age 77, of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at her residence.
A Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.
Gertraude entered into this life on January 12, 1941 in Germany daughter of the late Mrs. Elisabeth Koder. She was Catholic and enjoyed volunteering at Cats R Us. Gertraude had a compassionate heart for animals.
Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Floyd Oakes; daughter, Silvia Oakes; sister, Helga Buhl, of Germany; grandchildren, Sarah Crowley, and Paige Crowley; great-grandchildren, Maddox and Jaxon, several nieces and nephews, and many faithful and loving friends.
