Lester Bowers, son of Frank and Effie Bowers of Woodlawn, died early Wednesday morning, October 24, 2018. He was 74. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was born on Christmas Day, 1943. He worked for the Acme Boot Company, the Montgomery County Highway Department, and worked several years as a carpenter. He became a member of the Lord’s church at Needmore in 1976 and continued so till his death. Lester was unique. He possessed a keen mind, a quick wit, and a generous heart. There will be a memorial service at the Needmore Church of Christ building, Sunday afternoon at 5:15.
