Charles “Charlie” Britt, age 87 of Erin, TN, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastors Ronnie Burgess, Daniel Medders, and Roy Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with military honors. Masonic Rites will be held Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m.
The Britt family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday afternoon.
Charlie entered this life on July 21, 1931 in Montgomery County, son to the late Raymond and Esther Britt. Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Army where he fought in the Korean War. Charlie retired from Ft. Campbell as an electrician and later retired as maintenance supervisor at Erin Elementary. Charlie was a 60-year member of Wisdom Lodge 300.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Helen Britt; daughter, Alice Clark, and son, David Britt and wife Kathy. Charlie also leaves behind his grandchildren, Eric Britt (Whitney), Jarrod Clark (Tory), and Brittney Clark.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jarrod Clark, Eric Britt, Ricky Mullins, Russell Clark, Jimmy Milliken, Mark Beal, Eddie Mckinley, and Derek Pryor.
