Obituary for Howard Jesse "Bub" Fowers

Howard Jesse "Bub" Fowers, age 65, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Freddy T. Wyatt officiating. His family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Bub entered into this life on February 19, 1953 in Shelley, Idaho to the late Howard Jesse Fowers, Sr. and Mildred Walker Fowers. He was retired from a career in retail and was a member of Real Life Church, Sango. He was also an active supporter of both the Gideons International and the Salvation Army.
Survivors include his loving wife, Vicki North Fowers; children, Brandon Fowers, Bradley Fowers (Courtney), and Valarie Washburn (Tristan); grandchildren, Tanner and Tyler Fowers and Coen and Cole Washburn; and brothers, Larry Bryant, Ronald Bryant, and Steven Fowers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Ollie Washburn and brothers, Robert Bryant and Kevin Fowers.

My mother and I met "Bub" (this is how we knew him) and his Wife Vicki and his daughter Valerie on a cruise in the Bahamas over 15 years ago. Believe it or not we have kept in touch over all these years. God and faith has seemed to forged a set of strangers together in friendship which has been maintained. Although our physical beings have not crossed since the cruise, it was clear that he was man (with the smile) who was strongly devoted to his family, friends, community, and his church home. May the lord bless and keep him, his family, and all who have got to know him.

Bub did so much for others. and worked tirelessly even through his illness, to be sure the "very least of these" found comfort through his charity. He worked diligently to take God's word and message into the world. He was a strong Christian Man who saw God's hand in everything, and ministered all as if they were Christ in person.

Rest well, my friend. I like to think that you and Darrell are together again in some campground in God's beautiful heaven, laughing and enjoying the eternal friendship that you both created here on Earth.
