Condolence: Red Devil,

It is a tough day for so many. Sadness fills my heart knowing you are gone from this earth, however I celebrate we had you for a time. I am going to miss our phone calls for sure.

You filled boots in serving this great nation of ours that many shy away from, thank you for that.

I pray that God comforts your loved ones in the days ahead. There are going to be many "firsts" as the seasons change and the holiday come. Firsts without Mike.

Condolence: My condolences to his family!

Mike and I served together in the 1st Battalion, 508th (Airborne) Infantry including service in Operation Just Cause and the follow on Operation Promote Liberty. Mike was an inspirational leader, a professional soldier, and a genuinely good man. He touched and improved many lives and all should be proud of his legacy.

Condolence: It was a pleasure serving with Mike during Just Cause as a Moatengator (A Co. 1/508th). I also ran into him at Ft. Campbell after we both returned stateside. The last chance I got to speak with Mike was on the phone many years ago just to catch up. My true condolences to the family.

Condolence: It was an honor to work with you for many years. You were one of the good guys. You helped many people and always had a helping hand with the misfortune people dealing with difficult situations. My mistake was I wish I had spent more time with you, drank a cup of coffee, sat and discussed our service days for the USA, I will miss you dearly Michael Gilbert end of watch may the Lord comfort your love ones and family. Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Cpt. Gilberts passing. I have worked with him for about 10 years and new him to be a loyal and trustworthy friend. His work ethic and dedication to his job were amazing. I will truly miss him.
